Where to sharpen your Ajing skills?
Ajing is an effective style of fishing that can be applied to most light-medium game situation.
If the aim of Ajing is to specifically target horse mackerel, then you should focus the majority of your fishing at night, around areas with clear lighting, low turbidity and fast moving current.
Most piers, jettys and rock walls can be fished, as long as it is safe to do so.
To be a successful Aji fisherman, the most important skill to learn is to identify areas where Aji will congregate, these include areas with ample lighting, moving current and availability of their food: plankton!
If your aim is to apply the art of Ajing to improve your skills as an Ajigamer and aim to target other species, then you should focus on learning the habits of the species you are targetting.
Try applying Ajing on other light game species - Flathead, Bream, Trevally, Salmon, Snapper, Trout... You'll be surprised at what Ajing can do!
As a rule of thumb, go light to get the bite - this is true no matter where and what you are targetting!
